Stackable Wi-Fi Modules

The Compact-S-485 is plug-and-play stackable Wi-Fi module. It is a RS485 to Wi-Fi Converter.

The Compact-S-485 is server type Wi-Fi module. It is characterized by the capability to create a Wi-Fi network with its own IP factory editable and allow other Wi-Fi devices to connect to it.

Just a few configuration steps a quick and easy process, using our SW-Configurator issued free of charge to transfer and receive signals from the serial port, with an external RS485 transceiver, of the host device and the wireless network TCP/IP.

Thanks to its compact size and extremely low power consumption, it is perfect for mobile applications such as wireless activity monitoring, sensors and portable devices battery. With modules Compact-S-485 implements the concept of Internet-of-Things.

INTERFACES

Compact-S-485 permits, through an external RS485 transceiver, to enable the transmission PIN of the RS485 communication.

NO SOFTWARE NEEDED

The Compact-S-485 modules are immediately ready to be used.

Thanks to Wiicom configurator software (Compact Ready Go), available on wiicom website, user can define all Wi-Fi network settings.

There’s no need to develope or modify any software on the host board.

EVALUATION BOARD

Wiicom offers to the evaluator a COMPACT-EVB board, which together with your Compact-S-485 in a few minutes, industrial devices will connect on Wi-Fi, eliminating time hardware and software development.

Compact-S-485 is a module of very small dimension (42 x 23 x 5 mm), characterized by a very low power on which a TCP / IP module, a micro processor and an antenna are incorporated.
